Individual Counseling
The Process
You've made a brave first step.
Difficult emotions, such as stress, sadness, insecurity and anxiety, are the body's way of telling you that you need something. Through individual counseling,
you will learn how to listen to your body and trust your mind to get these needs met through developing insight, new skills and empathy for yourself and others.
Change is hard, but I'm here to be your ally, your cheerleader and your guide on this journey. Once you reach out, I will contact you to schedule a free
consultation to make sure you're getting what you need from a therapist. If I'm a good fit for you, we will schedule an intake and I will send you initial
intake forms and assessments. Intake sessions may take up to 90 minutes to allow me to get a thorough picture of your history, your needs, and your goals
for therapy. Together, we will make a treatment plan tailored to your needs.
Following sessions may be weekly or bi-weekly, and the process looks different for everyone. However, you will be able to decide how this process will look for you. This is your journey, and I look forward to being a part of it!
Adult Counseling
Life hits us in different ways at different times. You've experienced a loss, or you find yourself struggling with a new stage of life. It might be a stressful time at work, or your personal life might need more balance. Maybe you've been in therapy before - a few times, even - but you continue to struggle and you know you need to try something new.
My clients come from all backgrounds and identities. They struggle with depression, anxiety, self-confidence, stress management, relationships, and boundaries. Many of them have experienced either trauma in their present or have trauma from their past.No matter the concern, I meet clients where they're at. Through curiosity and collaboration, I draw upon different approaches to treatment - through both body and mind - to explore which one works best for each client.
Specialties: Stress, Anxiety, Depression, Life Transitions, Trauma, Generational Stress, Family Conflict, Post/Pre/Peripartum issues, Parenting, Substance Use, and Relationships.
Adolescent Counseling
Put simply, adolescence is rough. It doesn't have to be a headache, though; The Teenage Brain holds superpowers that, when harnessed, can be a source of resilience, creativity, harmony and joy.
I love working with adolescents aged 11-18. My clients typically struggle with anxiety, depression, peer relationships, parent relationships, motivation and challenging behavior. Typically, there is something else beneath many of these issues: lack of self-esteem, stress, trauma, or feeling (and often being) misunderstood. My aim is to address these underlying issues to help teens build upon the strengths they already have. Through my eclectic and client-centered approach, your teen will better understand how they can harness their power to navigate relationships, increase confidence and strengthen decision making.
Specialties: Depression, Anxiety, Life Transitions, Stress, ADHD, Bullying, Interpersonal Relationships, Self-Esteem, Behavior and Substance Use.
Though I protect the privacy of my adolescent clients, parent involvement will be required on occasion in order to ensure successful treatment*
